GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION AND (POSSIBLE) PUBLICATION OF PAPERS

Participation in the Congress can take two forms (you may find more detailed information on how to register in the registration section).

In the first case, the registration is only required.

In the second case, you can contribute to participating with a Paper, Symposium or Poster. In this case, the following requirements are to accomplish:

  • The signatories of contributions must be registered in the Congress. Registration must be formalized before their remission.
  • The sending of paper / symposium / poster must be necessarily done through the website. If contributions are not sent in this way, they will not be accepted .
  • Publications must be fully written and totally completed, according to the APA Standards.
  • Publications must be original and may be submitted in any language of the European Union (in Latin characters).
  • Publications must be sent before 20th February 2016. 
  • Due to printing issues, no further corrections are accepted.

Some of the publications, that meet all requirements, might be also published in the Journal of INFAD Association: «International Journal of Developmental and Educational Psychology. INFAD, Revista de Psicología».

 

PUBLICATION TYPES  AND GUIDELINES 

PAPERS

Paper shall not exceed 4,500 words, including the following information:

  1. Title (no more than 85 characters, including spaces).
  2. Name(s) of author(s) completed (first name followed by surname).
  3. Data of author(s), including University or Workcentre, along with email.
  4. Abstract: no more than 300 words written up both in language of paper (Spanish or any other language of the European Union) and English is mandatory, as well as title and keywords.
  5. Keywords.
  6. Background.
  7. Goals.
  8. Participants.
  9. Method.
  10. Findings.
  11. Conclusions.

Text and sections should be written and arranged strictly following the rules of the Publication Manual of APA Style (latest edition). Tables, figures and illustrations are numbered consecutively and must be located (and legible) within the text.

The text of paper will be sent via INFAD online platform for publication. In this regard, you should register in the platform and fill in the required information.

SIMPOSIA

The symposia are sessions focused on a common theme or problem that will be the main focus of the interventions of the participants and logically consistent among the different contributions. It is about planned sessions previously, where the coordinator performs a summary at the beginning and provides an overview of the theme of the symposium. Each symposium must have at least a minimum of 5 papers, with their inscriptions (including the coordinator’s one).

The presentation of Symposium entitled to one free registration. 

Symposium coordinator must send:

  • One Word document including: a general presentation of the Symposium (no more than 400 words), title, contact information and presentation of each and every one of full papers (no more than 4,500 words per paper) with their respective titles and abstracts, following the APA regulations.
  • In another separate document, the following data will be included: coordinator’s photo ID and a summary of coordinator’s curriculum. The maximum duration of each symposium-exhibition and questions will be 1 hour and 15 minutes..

POSTERS

Posters are graphical representations of a scientific, technological or professional work. At least one author must present during the exhibition in order to explain and discuss the content with the audience (schedule will be indicated in the programme). The poster is ellaborated to be seen, read and commented.

The proposal and implementation of the poster must include:

  1. Title.
  2. Author(s).
  3. Workcentre or University / E-mail address.
  4. Abstract (written up both in language of paper and English).
  5. Keywords.
  6. Background.
  7. Objectives.
  8. Participants.
  9. Method.
  10. Findings
  11. Conclusions.

 Data to be considered:

  1. The organization will provide the space for the poster presentation.
  2. The poster should have the following dimensions: 100 cm high, 80 cm wide (DIN-A0 approx. in vertical format). Recommendations::
    • Source: Arial or Helvetica (bold).
    • Size: 36 points (1.5-2 meters visibility).
  3. The text submitted for its possible publication, if so desired, must follow APA Standards.
  4. Poster material must be prepared by the author.
  5. The author will be responsible for placing the poster in the assigned place and date, as well as its removal. If it is not removed, it is understood that the author has no interest in preserving it and therefore authorizes the Organizing Committee to dispose of the poster.
  6. Poster must be referred to one of the thematic lines proposed in Congress.
